It is just a few days before Christmas, but ever since the start of the “Ber” months Christmas has been slowly creeping in, mostly in jingles you hear in the malls, season sales, holiday ornaments for sale and especially plans for friends and families to have parties and get-togethers, I love it when we have dinners together at this time of the year, things are extra warm and fuzzy and the food somehow tastes better, but really, if you sit back and think…
Do you feel it?
Feel what?
The breeze? the rush? or the reason for it all?
I believe that behind every “feel” is a “know” and we must all know the reason for the season, you see 2010 years ago, there was a baby born in a town called Bethlehem, who after 33 years in His life would be dying a brutal death on a cross, innocent, as a substitute for us so that we may be acceptable to God who is perfect and holy, because even if we don’t admit it, we are far from perfect… that baby is Jesus Christ, God’s own son, I’m sure you have heard of this famous line in the bible:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The sacrifice that was done for us is a gift, it is something given to us and all we have to do is accept it, that is why we during Christmas we give gifts to our loved ones…
So for everyone in the world, the season is here because of a gift from a God that loves us!
Christmas is here, spend it with your loved ones!
